The fundamental law of the nation that makes us free, the Bill of Rights. Thank God for that. The freedom to speak, to love, to believe it gives us liberty. That's magnificent. Wonderful. And we have to protect it at all costs. But that's basically all it gives us is freedom. Wonderful. But that's all. It doesn't say anything about loving one another. It doesn't say anything about equality.
It doesn't say anything about fairness. It doesn't say anything about, hey, listen, if all people are dying because they're sick and they have no wealth to buy medical attention, you should come together and take care of them. It doesn't say that you didn't get Medicare and Medicaid until 1965. You passed the conference. The Constitution, 1789, the constitution was missing something. It called for slavery. And for unfair treatment to women and many others in this society. But liberty. Yes.
